What is Designercize?
Designercize is a digital tool that generates random prompts for whiteboard design practice, originally created as an analog exercise by Kate Rutter and Laura Klein. It allows users to select difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard), reload challenges until satisfied, and set timed sessions, typically recommending 15-minute daily practice. The tool is designed to enhance design thinking, speed up design decisions, and build whiteboard mastery, working best with a whiteboard and friend but adaptable for screen use.
Developed by Tradecraft design instructors Zac Halbert and Jake Fleming, Designercize includes custom fonts and has been refined through thousands of practice sessions. It supports short challenges that can be completed during breaks, aiming to boost interview skills and overall design proficiency through regular, focused exercises.
